Cure Addiction Now Held 2nd Annual Fundraising Evening
The Event Featured Musical Performances by Taylor Dayne, Aly & AJ, Siedah Garrett and More
Beverly Hills (November 11, 2025) – On Monday, November 10, Nancy Davis, Co-Founder of Cure Addiction Now (CAN), a nonprofit dedicated to funding innovative research for substance use disorder (SUD), hosted the organization’s 2nd Annual Fundraising Evening at The Beverly Hills Hotel. The event featured a cocktail reception, seated dinner, live auction and special performances by Taylor Dayne, Aly & AJ, Siedah Garrett and Olivia Cohen.
The event united supporters, advocates and experts to support critical funding for CAN’s groundbreaking initiatives. By fostering collaboration among leading scientists and addressing both addiction and mental health, CAN is advancing toward its goal of eliminating the stigma and delivering life-saving solutions.
Introduced by her daughter Isabella Rickel, Nancy Davis opened the event to share the history of how the organization was founded and the purpose of Cure Addiction Now. Davis said, “Every person battling addiction is someone’s whole world. When we lift them up instead of turning them away, we don’t [just] save a life - we restore a future. Each addict is a loved one, a friend, or someone’s son or daughter.”
Lisa Vidal spoke passionately about her late son and said, “I’m standing here today to honor his life, to say that he came with purpose, and I will use my platform to talk about addiction, to honor what he went through, to say that people who suffer from addiction are not losers. They’re loving people. They’re suffering, they’re ill. They have a disease. And Cure Addiction Now and their amazing doctors are fighting to…find that cure.”.
Lisa Vidal’s daughter Olivia Cohen kicked off the evening’s performances with her song “Stole Your Name,” which was written in honor of her late brother when he was struggling with addiction. Shaun Robinson introduced Siedah Garrett who performed powerful renditions of “Love You I Do” and “Man In the Mirror.” Introduced by Cara Jade Myers, Aly & AJ provided guests with a moving performance featuring songs “Hold Out” and “Silver Deliverer.” Taylor Dayne, introduced by Dean McDermott, closed out the night’s performances with classic hits “Can’t Get Enough Of Your Love,” “Love Will Lead You Back” and “Tell It To My Heart.”

Co-founded by Nancy Davis and her late son, Jason Davis, CAN is transforming the landscape of addiction treatment through science-driven research and innovation. To date, the organization has funded 23 groundbreaking studies, focusing on goals such as developing therapies to stop the craving mechanism in the brain, making detox easier and affordable for everyone to achieve sobriety and funding vaccine research.
Central to CAN’s mission is the commitment to removing the shame and stigma surrounding addiction and seeking help, ensuring individuals feel empowered to pursue recovery without judgment. Recognizing the deep connection between addiction and mental health, CAN emphasizes that substance use disorder is not merely a physical dependency. It is a disease often intertwined with mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. By integrating mental health into its research and treatment strategies, CAN is forging a holistic approach to recovery—addressing both the physical and psychological factors that contribute to addiction.
For more than 30 years, Nancy Davis has also spearheaded the Race to Erase MS Gala, which has raised over $58 million for multiple sclerosis research, establishing the event as a cornerstone of the MS community.
