Cure Addiction Now (CAN) proudly hosted its 2nd Annual Fundraising Evening on Monday, November 10, at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel—an unforgettable night dedicated to advancing groundbreaking research to combat substance use disorder (SUD). Led by CAN Co-Founder Nancy Davis, the event brought together passionate supporters, influential advocates, leading experts, and an impressive lineup of musical talent, all united in the mission to transform addiction treatment through science.

A Night of Purpose, Passion, and Powerful Performances: Guests enjoyed a vibrant evening featuring a cocktail reception, seated dinner, live auction, and special performances from renowned artists Taylor Dayne, Aly & AJ, Siedah Garrett, and Olivia Cohen. Their music added both energy and emotion to the night, uplifting the audience while honoring those affected by addiction. The program opened with heartfelt remarks from Nancy Davis, introduced by her daughter Isabella Rickel. Davis shared CAN’s origin story and vision, reminding the audience: “Every person battling addiction is someone’s whole world… When we lift them up instead of turning them away, we don’t just save a life—we restore a future.” Actress Lisa Vidal delivered a deeply moving tribute to her late son, emphasizing the need to recognize addiction as a disease—not a moral failing. “People who suffer from addiction are not losers. They’re loving people… They’re suffering, they’re ill,” she said, underscoring the urgency of CAN’s mission. Her daughter Olivia Cohen then opened the performances with “Stole Your Name,” a song written for her brother during his struggle with addiction. The evening continued with powerful sets from Siedah Garrett, Aly & AJ, and Taylor Dayne, each introduced by notable presenters including Shaun Robinson, Cara Jade Myers, and Dean McDermott.

A Community United for Change: The event drew an impressive roster of attendees from entertainment, advocacy, and philanthropy, including Angel Carter Conrad, Ashley Benson, Christine Devine, Francia Raisa, Gloria Calderón Kellett, Justina Machado, Joely Fisher, and many more. Their presence reflected a shared belief in CAN’s vision: eliminating stigma, fostering compassion, and fueling scientific breakthroughs.

Advancing Research to Save Lives: Co-founded by Nancy Davis and her late son Jason Davis, Cure Addiction Now is redefining addiction treatment by funding innovative, science-driven research. To date, CAN has supported 23 groundbreaking studies targeting key challenges such as: Disrupting the brain’s craving mechanism, making detox safer, easier, and accessible to all and advancing addiction-related vaccine research. CAN’s work recognizes the profound connection between addiction and mental health, advocating for a holistic approach that treats the whole person—mind and body. Beyond her work with CAN, Nancy Davis has spent more than three decades championing medical research through the annual Race to Erase MS Gala, which has raised over $58 million for multiple sclerosis research.
